In the hotel we were staying at in Maldives, the spa offered facials with an Australian brand which I had never heard of before; Intraceuticals. I was immediately interested after I glanced at the ingredients lists of a few products. Also, in my experience, Australian brands really know how to combat the effects of sun damage and use active ingredients. They had four different oxygen treatments. In a nutshell:
Opulence, for radiance and soothing
Rejuvenate, for hydration and fine lines
Atoxelene, for tightening and firming
Clarity, combats acne and comforts
I chose Opulence. But I must say I have never had any facial of this kind so I was very curious but to be honest, I wasn’t expecting such results. As you can see in the video my skin tone was evened out (even my under eye circles!) and everything was much plumper and younger.
The lady who did my facial had told me that Madonna swears by this treatment and after doing a little research I found out that Miranda Kerr, Fergie, Naomi Campbell and of course Kim Kardashian gets this treatment too.
Basically, they use pure oxygen to infuse the skin with hyaluronic acid and the serum depending on the treatment you choose, which goes deeper into the skin than any topical product would go. It doesn’t hurt at all, it only tickles sometimes, but the overall experience is very relaxing.
They say the immediate results last about 5 days (I’m on day 3 right now and I can still feel it) but if you want to prolong the results, you can get it done every week for a month, and the results will last about 3-4 months. You can also prolong the results by using their “booster” products to mix in with your current skincare routine. I bought the Vitamin C+3, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
